Applying to Sixth Form
The Application process for September 2026 Sixth Form entry is now open.
Before you apply, make sure you have:

Researched the Courses - Carefully read the Sixth Form Prospectus.
Students are advised to choose three subjects, plus an additional Enrichment Subject. -
In addition to making your online application, we also require a Supporting Statement to be completed and emailed to sixthform@buckinghamschool.org

Hard copy documents can be obtained from the Admissions Officer on request.
Timeline for Applications

| 27 November 2025 | Sixth Form Open Evening |
| 28 November 2025 | Application Process Opens. Applications for Sixth Form for September 2025 entry opens on Thursday 28 November. |
| 12 January 2026 | Applications to be submitted online (or hard copy documents to be completed and returned to the Sixth Form Study Supervisor). Applications received following this date will be processed after the initial application process is completed. |
| 29 January 2026 | Course Selection Meetings take place. Offers will be made in writing following the interview process. |
| 9 July 2026 | Attend a Taster Day in the Summer term to get a feel for what it is like to be a Sixth Form student. Take part in introductory sessions in your chosen subjects. |
| 20 August 2026 | GCSE Results Day: All applicants are required to confirm their place following the collection of their results. External students will need to provide us with a copy of their results in order to secure their place. |
| Open House until 1pm. Come in and talk with members of our Sixth Form Team about your results and courses you would like to study, irrespective of whether you have a current application with us. |
What's next:
All students who apply to join the Sixth Form are interviewed, and their subject choices discussed in detail to ensure that they reflect both their interests and abilities and their chosen career pathway. We will review students' subject choices after their GCSE results are known, as well as at the start of Year 12.
