Sixth Form
Sixth Form Open Evening, Thursday 27 November 2025, 17:30-20:00
Our upcoming Sixth Form Open Evening takes place on Thursday 27 November 2025, 17:30 - 20:00.
This evening is set to be an excellent opportunity to explore the subject choices that are on offer to you next year and the opportunities that you can benefit from.
There will be two introductory speeches from Headteacher, Mr McGinnes, and Director of Sixth Form, Mrs Beaumont, where they will share with you some key insights into what makes our Sixth Form a great place to study and grow.
Families will be able to explore subject areas of the school and to hear from our expert staff about what each subject is offering. During the evening, there will be some of our current Sixth Form students on hand to ask about their subjects and general Sixth Form life.
We are all excited to be a part of this important decision-making process and look forward to meeting you all on the night. Should you have any questions about the evening, further questions are more than welcome via the sixthform@buckinghamschool.org email address.
We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday 27 November.
Our Sixth Form has been developed to meet the needs and career aspirations of its students. It is a vibrant hub of interaction and learning, with good study facilities and strong teaching across a broad range of subjects.
We offer a range of academic A Level subjects, as well as vocational BTEC courses, in order to provide our students with the opportunity to study subjects relevant to their career ambitions and which take their learning style preferences into consideration.
We provide individual careers support to ensure all of our students are ready to successfully progress to the next stage of their career journey when they graduate. They will either be guided through the UCAS application process or supported to secure an Apprenticeship opportunity or employment for after they complete Year 13.
Alongside gaining three or more Level 3 qualifications, there are a number of enrichment subjects available to enhance students’ personal development, including Sports Leadership courses and the Extended Project Qualification. We encourage our students to actively participate in student life; whether they become a member of the Student Leadership Team or a peer mentor, or contribute to the student Instagram page, we want them to be fully engaged and take an active role in our school community.
