SEND & Learning Support
The Buckingham School has a commitment to Inclusion. We value diversity, understand difficulties and recognise and respect individual differences, so all feel they belong. We believe in maximising participation and removing barriers to learning.
The SEND & Learning Support Department operates within this framework to ensure that individual needs are identified and met. Targeted support is provided for students identified as having a special educational need. The main thrust of our work is with students who have an Education Health Care Plan. Here support is planned in accordance with the provision outlined in the Education Health Care Plan.
The Department works closely with a range of external agencies and professionals, including educational psychologists, specialist teachers and CAMHS.
