Employer Hub
Can you help shape the future workforce? Partner with The Buckingham School
The Power of our Parent Community
We know that our parent body is made up of business owners, industry experts, skilled tradespeople and employees across a vast range of sectors. You possess the insight, experience and networks that can inspire the next generation, and we invite you to become an Employer Partner.
How to Get Involved
Whether you can spare 20 minutes for a talk or offer a placement, whether it is one day or five days, your contribution makes a tangible difference.
We are currently looking for support with:
- Work Experience: Hosting Year 10 students (July) or Sixth Formers for placements.
- Guest Speakers: Delivering a short talk about your career journey or industry during an assembly.
- Event support: Helping support careers events for all year groups. This could be in the form of mock interviews/assessment centres/guess who, to name a few.
Why Partner With Us?
Engaging with the school is a fantastic way to spot future talent for your own business, develop the mentoring skills of your current staff, and give back to the local Buckinghamshire community.
We work closely with Buckinghamshire Business First and Bucks Skills Hub to ensure our placements deliver real value to employers.
Offering Work Experience – Buckinghamshire Business First
Why Businesses Should Offer Work Experience – Insights from ANT Telecom
- Build Your Talent Pipeline: Get early access to a new local talent pool for apprenticeships and entry-level roles.
- Develop Future Leaders: Hosting a student is a low-risk way for your existing staff (especially apprentices or junior employees) to practice mentoring and management skills.
- Fresh Perspectives: Young people bring digital fluency and "fresh eyes" processes, allowing students to energise your teams.
- Increase Diversity: Recruiting through schools rather than just your personal network opens your business to a wider, more diverse range of candidates.
- Brand Visibility: Enhance your reputation as a community-focused employer in Buckinghamshire, via our successful social media platforms, we will publicise your commitment to our school.
- Project Support: Students can help tackle specific "wish-list" projects or lighten the workload during busy periods.
