The Gatsby Benchmarks
We are incredibly proud to hold an 8/8 Gatsby Benchmark rating (the national standard for careers education).
The Gatsby Benchmarks are a framework of 8 guidelines that define the best careers provision in schools and colleges.
The 8 Gatsby Benchmarks are a framework of guidelines defining "world-class" career guidance in secondary schools and colleges in England, developed by the Gatsby Foundation. They are used to help schools and colleges provide, and improve, their careers education, advice, and guidance.
The eight benchmarks provide comprehensive career support for students:

- Learning from career and labour market information.
- Addressing the needs of each pupil.
- Linking curriculum learning to careers.
- Encounters with employers and employees.
- Experiences of workplaces.
- Encounters with further and higher education.
- Personal guidance.
HOW WE MEASURE
How we measure and assess the impact of the careers programme
We measure and continuously improve our careers provision using Compass+, a nationally recognised tool aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks for Good Career Guidance.
Compass+ is an online tool used by schools in England to evaluate, track, and report on their careers education provision against the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks. It enables benchmarking against national standards, supports strategic planning, and allows for tracking individual student participation in careers activities.
This ongoing self-assessment supports our commitment to providing a careers programme that is relevant, ambitious and responsive to the needs of all learners.
