The Buckingham School

About Us

Our school is a co-educational, non-selective setting of 1,200 students, including a flourishing Sixth Form. Given our location, we attract students from outside of Buckinghamshire, into Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.

Through our Core Choices of Respect, Responsibility and Reflection, The Buckingham Way develops our young people through our stages of school life. In their first years, they focus on being Engaged, making the transition into secondary school, removing any barriers that they have to success and learning to love challenges in the classroom. Into their GCSE years, they start to show greater Independent learning, developing self-motivation with a thirst for knowledge and understanding. Into our Sixth Form, we expect our students to be Exemplary, embodying everything that is great about this school.

As the community’s school, we embrace the full breadth of society and passionately believe that we are richer for it. We delight in supporting students to achieve top grades at GCSE and A Level, but equally so in supporting those who struggle to engage with school in the first place.
