Attendance

Monday - Thursday 7.30am and 4.15pm and Friday 7.30am - 3.45pm

What should parents do if their child is absent?

Telephone the school absence line on 01280 818923, or email the attendance email using the button above, or use the ParentMail App. Details on how to download the App can be found here

We endeavour to answer all telephone calls, but at busy times, and especially early in the morning, we are not always able to speak to everyone and if this is the case, please leave a message on the answerphone.

When telephoning the school, please state clearly your child's name, tutor group, the reason for absence and the expected date of return. Follow up with a note on the day of return.

What the school will do if your child is absent:-
If we have not heard from you, we will contact you on the first day of absence.  The Attendance section in the Student First, Anti-Bullying & Attendance Leaflet includes useful information about what you need to do if your child is unwell or has an appointment.

Please refer to the relevant section by clicking on the button below.

Student First Team

We aim to provide an all embracing service for our students, working together to develop and maintain their social, emotional, mental health and wellbeing.

The team consists of five members of staff, all of whom have a wealth of experience in their own areas of expertise. The aim is to always put students first and offer them support and guidance, as well as providing necessary support for parents and carers.  We also refer to and work with organisations who provide additional support for young people and their families when necessary.
