Extra-Curricular Activities Timetable - Term 6
I am writing to you with the exciting news that, from the beginning of Term 6, our extra-curricular activities timetable will begin to run again. It’s been a long time since we have been able to offer such activities to the students and I know that the staff are keen to see the students attending these.
As with most activities at the moment, there are still important guidelines to follow to maintain the safety of our staff and students and therefore for Term 6, these activities will be offered to single Year Groups only, to prevent the mixing of Year Group bubbles indoors. Outdoors activities will be offered to a maximum of 2 Year Groups: Key Stage 3 (Y8 & 9), Key Stage 4 (Y10 & 11), or Key Stage 5 (Y13).
We are asking students to sign-up to the activities that they would like to attend, via a Google Form, by the Friday of the preceding week. This will allow staff to prepare resources, spaces and ensure maximum numbers of students are not exceeded. If there are any issues with over-subscription to activities, the Activity Leader will look at alternative options and communicate these to the students and families. The timetable of all of our extra-curricular activities for Term 6 can be found below:
If your child would like to participate in any of these activities, please could you ensure they have signed up for the week ahead by 8.30am on the Friday before via this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf-QCOYkcAcSXbeHwB2_6B1XppGxuUR4_UQljBQ4Ek0mS2eKQ/viewform
Should they experience any issues in accessing this form, they should speak to the Activity Leader directly – contact details for each can be found on the timetable. If there is a need to cancel an activity, students and families will be told by the Activity Leader.
I look forward to seeing more students taking part in a range of extra-curricular activities that will support their personal development and enjoyment of school in Term 6 and beyond. As always, should you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch with either myself or the Activity Leader.
As Lockdown eases further, we hope to run many more extra-curricular sessions from September and any suggestions from students are encouraged.
