Staff

Within the Sixth Form, there is a dedicated team of people who teach and support our students. Each one has particular responsibilities in relation to student achievement, progression and welfare.

Mrs S Pykett, Director of CFE

Mrs Pykett has overall responsibility for the Sixth Form. Mrs Pykett is also an Assistant Headteacher for the school and teaches Humanities. 

Mrs Carol Gibson-Smith, Head of CFE

Mrs Gibson-Smith is the Head of Years 12 and 13. She oversees all attendance and pastoral issues relating to Year 12 and 13 students, as well as teaching and being Curriculum Leader for Food Technology.

Mr Philip Cunningham, Vocational Subject Leader and Year 13 Form Adviser

Mr Cunningham delivers careers advice and guidance to all the Sixth Form students. He provides support with UCAS and Apprenticeship applications, as well as arranging employability skills training. He also teaches a number of our vocational subjects including Criminology and Enterprise.

Mrs Angela O’Sullivan, Health & Social Care Teacher and Year 12 Form Adviser

Mrs O’Sullivan provides pastoral support to her form members, as well as teaching Health & Social Care  GCSE, A Level and BTEC.

Mrs Alexandra Simmons, Psychology Teacher and Year 13 Form Adviser

Mrs Simmons provides pastoral support to her form members, as well as teaching Psychology GCSE and A Level.

Ms J Barten, English Teacher and Year 12 Form Adviser

Ms Barten provides pastoral support to her form members, as well as teaching English.
