Digital Enrichment Week
Digital Enrichment Week for Key Stage 3 Students - Monday 13th - Friday 17th July 2020
Book Review Competition
The English team has challenged all Year 7 and Year 8 students to read a book of their choice during Digital Enrichment Week and submit a review to justify why the book they have read should or should not have a place on our school library bookshelves. The English team will judge entries on their skills of persuasion, use of engaging language tools and format. Entries can be submitted in the form of tweets, blogs, podcasts, recorded debates, monologue recitals, etc. There will be one winner from Year 7 and one winner from Year 8. Each winner will receive a £20 Amazon voucher. Entries must be submitted to the ‘Book Review Competition’ section of the Digital Enrichment Week Google Classroom (code i5lw43g) by 9 am on Friday 17 July.
'Buckingham's Got Talent' House Competition
Due to the huge success of last year, the Heads of Houses are delighted to bring back 'Buckingham's Got Talent!' during Digital Enrichment Week. We are aware of the vast talents many of our students possess and we want to take this opportunity to showcase them!
To enter, simply upload a video of you demonstrating your talent to the 'Buckingham's Got Talent' section of the Digital Enrichment Week Google Classroom (code i5lw43g). You can sing, dance, horse ride, knit, juggle, play a sport, the possibilities are endless! At the end of the week we will compile these videos to make a 'Buckingham’s Got Talent' show which will be accessible to other students and parents, so please be aware that by uploading your videos you are also giving consent for us to show these.
Every entry receives 50 house points for their house and SLT will choose which acts will come 1st, 2nd and 3rd. So come on Buckingham School, this is your time to shine!’
